Paola Bristot (Aviano, 1961) graduated in 1985 in Discipline Arti Musica Spettacolo and in 1991 specialized in Art History in University of Bologna. Since 1995, she is a professor of History and Languages of Contemporary Art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice and since 2020 in Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Turin, also. As president of the Viva Comix association, she organizes many exhibitions concerning comics, illustration, animation and visual arts. She is the Artistic Director of the Piccolo Festival Animazione since 2007. She curated the anthology Animazioni in six volumes (2010-19, Viva Comix, Ottomani with A. Martignoni) where she published more than 100 short Italian films. As an art director, she produced the experimental film Re-cycling (Arte Video, Viva Comix 2014, and new version 2019). She is the curator of the studiovivacomix in Pordenone, where she lives and works.
