Synopsis

The film deals with one of the most horrendous proliferating crime towards women known to be as Acid-Attacks. Post-attack it creates a mark in the form of Disfiguration (virupan) to the survivor, which has its traumatic effect on one being both physically and psychologically. This story is built on several true life occurrences and experiences of the attack survivors, showing their state of compromise in their daily lives.

Abhishek Verma is an independent animator and animation filmmaker. His animation short The Sugar Syrup has been screened at over 37 festivals including Animafest Zagreb, MIFF and Chitrakatha. He loves screenwriting and experimental narratology.
