Pierre Yves Drapeau

Sound designer, film music composer and re-recording mixer, Pierre Yves creates soundtracks for animated films and series, documentaries, live-action and multimedia installations. In the early 2000s in Montreal, he specialized in creating soundtracks for auteur animated films, working full-time for a decade with his mentor Normand Roger before pursuing his career in the film and television industry. He founded Studiotoons in 2009, a sound post-productions company offering a full range of creative and technical services for animated films and series. Pierre Yves was associated with the work of some well-known figures of animation, such as Pierre-Luc Granjon, Frank Dion, Regina Pessoa, Uri & Michelle Kranot, Vladimir Leschiov, Kaspar Jancis, Chintis Lundgren, Theodore Ushev, Izabela Pluzinska, Koji Yamamura, Chris Landreth, Coe Hoedeman, Georges Schwizgebel, Paul Driessen, Ryo Orikasa, Elizabeth Hobbs, Nicolas Brault, Michèle Lemieux and many others.
