With the aim of creating synergy between theoretical and practical discourse among filmmakers and scholars, Animafest Scanner XIII 2026 International Symposium takes place 9-10 June 2026, and international film and media researchers are invited to present the latest findings in the field of animation studies.

This year´s keynote speaker is the recipient of 2026 Animafest Zagreb Award for Outstanding Contributions to Animation Studies, journalist, critic, historian, publisher, editor, and a true Renaissance Man in contemporary animation studies, Amid Amidi.
