Cesar Cabral began his career as a stop-motion animator before co-founding the animation studio Coala Filmes in 2000. His highlights include the stop-motion short films The Re Bordosa Dossier and Storm, both screened and awarded at Annecy, Sundance, Hiroshima, and Havana. He also directed two seasons of TV series Angeli The Killer, available on Canal Brasil and Globoplay. His first feature film as a director, Bob Spit - We Do Not Like People, premiered at the 2021 Annecy Festival, where it won Best Film in the Contrechamp Competition and became the first Latin American animated feature to win the Grand Prize at the Ottawa.
