Bun Chai Ly
Born in Roubaix, Bun Chai studied 2D animation at the École supérieure des arts appliques et textiles (ESAAT) in Roubaix and graduated in 2023 with a BA in animation. He became an intern and then assistant animator on the film The Forest of Miss Tang in 2022, directed by Denis Do at Special Touch Studios. Bun Chai joined Les Films du Nord in September 2023, where he worked with Morgane Simon on her film The Carp and the Child, with Pascale Hecquet on The Princess and the Nightingale and with Rémi Durin on Sparrows. Loc Lac is his first film. In his personal work, he likes to draw food, Asian culture and human figures. Japanese art, music and watercolor play an essential role in his artistic work.
