Dear animated film fans, experienced and unexperienced volunteers and film festival lovers,

we are now counting exactly fifty days untill the 24th World Festival of Animated Film - Animafest Zagreb 2014! As the opening day approaches and preparations heat up, like every year, we need help from our diligent volunteers.

This year’s edition, dedicated to short animated works from all over the world, will be held from 3rd to 8th June 2014 in cinemas Europa, Tuškanac and Cineplexx Centar Kaptol. In addition to the competition programme, this year’s Animafest will boast a series of side film programmes, as well as additional events, such as lectures, workshops, concerts and exhibitions.

Animafest opens its doors to volunteers in all aspects of the festival (Press, Hospitality, Info Point, Cinema, Exhibition...). Volunteering activities will therefore start from 19th May 2014. We kindly ask that you keep this in mind when applying for a volunteering position. Aside from entertainment and socialising, it will thus provide a good learning platform (to acquaint you with the organisation of the Animafest and similar cultural events). A wide array of events will undoubtedly prove as good motive to join our team of volunteers.
