Synopsis


A half hour animated film based on the much-loved children’s picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, creators of The Gruffalo. Stick Mantells the tale of a happy go lucky father’s epic journey to make it home in time for Christmas. “Stick Man lives in the family tree with his Stick Lady Love and their stick children three.” Join Stick Man on an incredible adventure across the seasons as he runs from a playful dog, gets thrown in a river, escapes from a swan’s nest and even ends up on top of a fire. Will he get back to his family in time for Christmas?

Jeroen Jaspaert


Jeroen studied at the Media and Design Academy in Belgium for a BA in Film Studies. In 2001 he studied Character Animation at Central St Martins College in London, graduating with distinction. He became a director at Tandem in 2003, and went on to be Series Story Director for Acamar Films on Bing in 2012 – nominated for a Children’s BAFTA. 

 

Daniel Snaddon


Before joining the Stick Man team as co-director, Daniel had previously worked for Triggerfish Animation Studios as a story-board artist and animation supervisor on their 2nd feature film Khumba. As an active member of the South African animation community, Daniel served as the founding director of CTIAF, South Africa’s premiere animation festival for 4 years.
