The fast-paced lifestyle in polluted cities makes people ill. Neuroses are quite usual. Overpopulation, pollution and noise are number one enemies. This film focuses on what can happen to a man irritated by a sound while he just wants to quietly read his newspaper.
A peaceful ordinary man can turn dangerous if exposed to constant sound. But maybe this is just a fairy tale, as each and every one of us carries inside all that piles up during our brief life spans.
Nedeljko Dragić made his first caricature in 1953. He has been working as a caricaturist and illustrator in all of Zagreb newspapers until the 1980s. He has been working in Zagreb Film since 1960.
