Synopsis

In quest of water a sand puppet leaves the sand world in which it lives. It wanders through other worlds made of paper, stone and iron, following the sound of dripping water. In the end the sand puppet manages to reach the water... in a very tragic way.

Thomas Stellmach

Thomas Stellmach (1965, Straubing, Germany) is animation director, producer, author and animator. Amongst many international awards for his independent productions, in 1997 he received the Academy Award (Oscar®) for the stop-motion film Quest. He studied animation at the Kassel Academy of Arts.
