Duscha_018

Duscha Kistler, is a Swiss art historian and a film scientist. During her studies, Duscha Kistler took part in organising various exhibitions and multi-media projects. After this she became involved with VideoEx, a festival for experimental film in Zurich. Her passion for film, art and film festivals eventually brought her to animation film, and to Fantoche. Fantoche is an international festival for animated film that takes place in Baden, near Zurich. It is the most important cultural event in Switzerland that is devoted exclusively to the full array of animation techniques, content and media. 2002 Duscha Kistler was hired as managing director of Fantoche and was responsible for the production and financing of the festival. 2006 she took over the artistic director of the festival, organised and coordinated the entire programme and decided where the emphasis should be in terms of content. After six successful festival editions and wonderful inspiring years, Duscha Kistler decided to leave Fantoche at the end of 2011. Right now she is working as a freelancer, is involved in various cultural projects and member of several political-cultural committees.
