Cédric Louis and Claude Barras have been collaborating since they made Icefloe (2005). In a style that appeals to children and adults alike, their films take a humorous and clever look at complex subject matter such as difference and death. Sainte Barbe (2007) and Land of the Heads (2009) were co-produced by their studio, Hélium Films, and the National Film Board of Canada.
Born in 1970 in Liège, Belgium, Cédric Louis studied film before directing animated films. He is currently working at Swiss television’s (TSR) youth department and also writes scripts and directs at Hélium Films.
