In a Faraway Forest: Apple of Discord
During a morning walk a hedgehog finds a beautiful red apple. He takes it to his dwelling and starts to rearrange his home. Meanwhile a squirrel finds the apple and takes it as her own. The two friends start to fight about who the apple actually belongs to. They ask the other woodland creatures to advise them on the situation. After being disappointed over the rabbit's indecisiveness and the bear's greed, the two decide to ask the wood's wisest resident, the owl. She soon realises the apple is one of discord in which a bit of evil lives. She takes care to exorcise it but this means there is not much apple left. But the squirrel and the hedgehog are left happy that their friendship survived the test.

Timon Leder
Timon Leder (1986) is a film director, animator, graphic designer, and educator. He graduated in graphic design from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana (2013), and further studied animation at ESAG Penninghen in Paris and La Poudrière in Valence. Since 2015, he has taught hand-drawn and cut-out animation at the University of Nova Gorica, while researching film language and the educational impact of animation on children. His debut Work (2008) screened at 40+ festivals. His professional debut Weasel (2016) also toured widely and included an audiovisual exhibition. Leder has contributed to over 10 animated films and series.
