Synopsis

Done in expressive, hand-made charcoal animation, surreal fragments from the life of an unusual artist are shown. While burying his drawings, he recalls his wartime childhood and faces his fear of death.

Mato Uljarević

Mato Uljarević is an interdisciplinary artist from Podgorica (Montenegro) active in the fields of visual arts, literature and film. He holds a degree in sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje and creates charcoal animations on paper. Mato is the founder of Reanimation - Festival of European Animated Film and Illustration and was in the first generation of students at CEE Animation’s Rise and Shine program. He is a member of the Artistic Board of the Montenegrin Association of Artists.
