Synopsis

12-year-old Ben has just hit puberty and suddenly his weight's a problem - for him and for everyone else. The other kids bully him, his divorced parents don't know what to do. Even the school nurse is worried about him. So, despite his love of food and his emerging talent as a chef, Ben decides to take drastic action. He starts to diet.

Kristina Dufková

Kristina Dufková (1978) is a director, animator and artist, a graduate of FAMU. Between 1993 and 1997 she studied at the Jan Neruda Gymnasium in Prague, continuing her studies at the Higher Vocational School of Film in Písek, where she majored in animation. From 2000-2010 she studied animation at FAMU. Living Large is her debut feature. Dufková's film work stands out for its excellent animation and visual stylisation. In her artistic work she combines the world of children and the world of adults.
