Synopsis

bonVoyage pour monVoyage , which literally means ‘best wishes for my trip,’ is an experimental animated travelogue where I depict my travel experiences across various Indian cities that I explored in 2023. India, known for its rich cultural diversity, offers a wide range of experiences, which I have captured using different visual explorations. This is a very personal film that not only showcases what I saw, but also conveys my emotions, including happiness, loneliness, achievement, and a sense of belonging.

Akshit Kumar

Akshit Kumar, a storyteller from Patna, India, is in his final year at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, majoring in Animation Filmmaking. With a passion for capturing the subtleties of everyday life, Akshit delves into the rich tapestry of human behavior and environments, translating these observations into compelling narratives on the screen. His passion lies in experimental animation, where he constantly explores new techniques and pushes the boundaries of how animation can tell a story. bonVoyage pour monVoyage is his first experimental animated short film which won Bronze at the Student Academy Awards 2024, making him the first Indian to win this award for an Indian production.
