Ivana Kvesić is currently the director of the Fantoche – International Animation Film Festival in Baden, Switzerland. Her journey includes her role as the former Co-Director of the Schweizer Jugendfilmtage, a youth film festival in Zurich, where she demonstrated her passion for fostering young talent in the industry. Ivana's discerning taste and expertise were further showcased through her participation in the selection committee of the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (international and youth competition) and Rote Fabrik Zurich – oldest open-air cinema in Zurich. She holds a Master in Economics from the University of Zurich, a CAS in Cultural Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Postindustrial Design from the Academy of Art and Design in Basel. In addition to her directorial responsibilities, Ivana wears multiple hats in the Swiss cultural scene. She holds the position of president of the executive committee at the cinema club Xenix in Zurich and is a member of the Swiss Film Academy and of the foundation council of Filmbulletin, a prominent film magazine in Switzerland. For three years, she served as a co-opted member of SWAN (Swiss Women’s Audiovisual Network), emphasizing her commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry. Known for her multifaceted contributions, Ivana is recognized not only as a festival director but also as a curator, artist, and cultural project manager who loves to work in transdisciplinary environments.
