Synopsis

A girl is drawing; she feels intense back pain and tries to stretch. Despite her efforts, the pain persists, and frustration grows. Her movements become grotesque and increasingly brutal, with her body tightening further. As the pain continues, the girl experiences an emotional breakdown. Completely broken, she sits back at her desk.

Marta Margetić

Marta Margetić was born 2001 in Zagreb. In her childhood, she  participated in many artistic workshops and competitions for children. Her love of art and filmmaking  followed her through her adolescence and made her want to pursue an education in animated film. In 2020 she begun studying at the Animated Film and New Media department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb to get a bachelor's degree in animated film. She  successfully finished her bachelor’s  in 2023 by making her first animated short film Fish Food and enrolled into the master’s program. She’s currently  in the second-year of her master’s degree  at the Animated Film department and has made two animated short films, Fish Food and Spine.
