Synopsis

Anatole is always dragging around his little saucepan. It fell on him one day and nobody really knows why. Since then, it gets stuck everywhere and it keeps him from going forward. One day Anatole can’t bear it anymore. He decides to hide so that he won’t see or be seen anymore. But, fortunately, things aren’t so simple. An adaptation of an Isabelle Carrier’s picture book.

Eric Montchaud

Eric Montchaud studied at the Poudrière Animation School in Valence in 1999. He specialised in stop-motion technique. His student film entitled Les Animals and his first self-produced short called The Wet Dog Smell had a successful career at festivals such as Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand and Hiroshima. He took part in the animation of Michel Gondry’s Mood Indigo and The Science of Sleep. Anatole’s Little Saucepan is his first professional short film.
