Synopsis

In this experimental animated film, a woman explores the layers of her body and inner world. Through symbolic display of separation and reconnection with oneself, the film explores the dynamics of roughness and tenderness in relationship with oneself. An intimate journey exploring the complexity of self-acceptance and inner harmony.

Petra Balekić

Petra Balekić (Đakovo, 1989) is a freelance artist working mostly in animation as director and animator, but she expresses herself in other art forms as well. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb: Department of Graphic Arts (2013) and Department of Animated Film and New Media (2017). She has made four animated films, some of which have received awards at various festivals. At the moment, she is writing and drawing her first picture book that should come out this year. In addition to working on audiovisual projects, she has years of experience in holding animation and art workshops. She has also had several solo and group exhibitions.
