Synopsis

Love is something that has never changed its essence throughout history. Of course, there are countless kinds of love, each specific in its own way, but present-day people cannot find it because they don’t look ahead. The world is today a virtual place and people fall in love with what they see on the screens, since the virtual world has replaced reality. It is impossible to see if you don’t look, but even when you look, you will have trouble seeing if your mind is somewhere else. A man and a woman, two protagonists of this story, meet in this cold and colourless world and their sporadic encounters soon change into a colourful dance.

Nikolina Žabčić

Nikolina Žabčić (1993, Zagreb) is a first-year MA student of animation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. A winner of two Rector’s Awards: in 2018/2019 for large-scale artistic team work on Gustav Mahler’s opera, and in 2020 for group work on the project ‘150th Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi’. So far she took part at many group exhibitions, including Cash&Carry at HDLU, Pasionska baština at the Šira Gallery and a group exhibition of drawings and paintings as part of the Festival of World Literature at the Josip Račić Gallery, as well as three solo exhibitions. In addition to studying, she is particularly active in the field of illustration.
