Ivana Guljašević Kuman is a director and animator of animated films, illustrator, writer and author of comics. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. She is the author of over sixty animated films screened at many international and Croatian festivals, various TV channels, art cinemas, and in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb as blocks of art films for children. She is an animator and art designer on three series on Croatian Television (Danica, Njama, njam, and Pssst... priča!), as well as co-author with Bruno Kuman on the series Igubuka's Stories. As a writer, she wrote six novels, sixteen picture books, and two collections of stories. She wrote the novel Emana with her young daughters Ana (seven years old) and Emma (five years old). As a comic book author, she published comics in several magazines, and as an illustrator she illustrated numerous books, picture books and posters. She has won many awards for her work in comics, animation, illustration and literature. She is based in Zagreb.
