Animation artist Michaela Müller first studied visual arts in Lucerne, Switzerland, before graduating with her award winning short animation Miramare (2010) from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Best known for her paint on glass animations – her most recent film Airport is a Swiss-Croatian co-production and won the award for Best Swiss Animation in 2018 – she also works in live performance projects in theatre, opera, dance, and music. Recent collaborations include Trag Trace Spur with Swiss-American sound artist Fa Ventilato and Croatian dancer Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović. She contributed animation to Händel’s opera Orlando, directed by Alvaro Schoeck. Her commercial work includes animations for the global technology company Panasonic (2019) and the leading Swiss department store Manor (2018/2019).
