Darko Masnec (1985, Celje, Slovenia) graduated in 2009 from the Faculty of teacher Training in Maribor with a degree in Visual Arts, and in 2012 he obtained an MA in animation from the Department of Animation and New Media, Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb, where he is currently teaching as an assistant professor. In 2017 he obtained a PhD with a dissertation Zagreb School of Animation – Artistic and Market Practices in the Context of Video Games from the Zagreb Academy of Fine Art. The author of a multi award-winning film I Already Know What I Hear, he also worked as an animator on several short film projects, published articles and essays on animation and video games.
