LadoSkorin (1961), known by the nickname Komarac, is an animator, technical director and producer who studied shipbuilding at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. A pioneer of animation in Croatia, pursuing it since 1986. Since then he has been animating and producing trailers, jingles, music videos and commercials (TV Zagreb, Z3, HRT, BBDO, Publicis, McCann-Erickson etc.). He founded several iconic companies for animated production and time wasting: Animus(with PjerŽardin), Kenges (with IvanRatković and SimonBogojevićNarath, winning in 2006 and 2008 the best production company award at the Days of Croatian Film), 3D2DAnimatori (with five colleagues). In his free time he attends to his vineyard and makes wine in Primošten. He appreciates all tastes and is said to be a pain, even though he doesn’t see himself as such. Sport sailing in all classes is his hobby (albeit quite rarely in the last 10 years). He likes festival, not so much for films, but more for the fun. As a kid, he wanted to be a sea captain, shipbuilder and astronaut, not necessarily in that order.
