Synopsis

At the interstice between materiality and immateriality, direct work on the filmstrip is digitally rendered, creating tension between surface and depth.

Kangmin Kim

Kangmin Kim graduated at SADI (Samsung Art and Design Institute) in Seoul, Korea,  from the Department of Communication Design, and later received his BFA in Experimental Animation at CalArts, where he is currently at his master studies. He made several school films, screened at festivals in Ottawa, Edinburgh and Chicago among others.
