Nigel Davies

Nigel Davies is founder director of Bristol-based 2D production company, A for Animation (now A Productions). Between 1986 and 1996 he produced animated series, commercials, pop promos and titles for the BBC and ITV networks. He is a freelancer from 1996 to present. He made 2 short films for S4C in Wales and since 2004 have been represented by Aardman Animations as a commercials director. He was 2D animation lead on the multi award-winning short the Pearce Sisters (2006/07). He just completed production of short film for Aardman Blind Date.

Ron Diamond (USA) is the founder of Acme Filmworks and co-founder and president of AWN (Animation World Network). Located in Hollywood, California and opened in 1990, Acme Filmworks is an animation production house that offers the talents of over 40 internationally renowned animators to the international advertising market. The animation studio, along with its directors, has received many animation and advertising awards including Academy Awards and nominations, Clio Awards, ASIFA Hollywood’s Annie Award and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. He collaborates with major studios Disney Feature Animation, DreamWorks, DreamWorks/PDI, Industrial Light and Magic, Pixar, Skywalker Ranch, Warner Brothers Feature Animation, Universal Studios Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Tippett Studios, Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox. His educational activities recently include an educational DVD in co-production with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences to be sent to schools as part of the Academy Foundation’s educational curriculum.

Marko Meštrović

Marko Meštrović graduated from the Painting Departments of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1997. He has held numerous group and solo exhibitions, and began making animated films in 2000. With Davor Međurečan, he co-directed two animated films Silencium (2006) and Ciganjska (2004), and in 2008 he made his solo film project Note, winning several awards and prizes. Recently he finished his new film No Sleep Wont Kill You (2010).

Flore Poinsard has a rich experience in different stages of a film production. She was casting manager on several animated features, TV series and commercials. Besides, she has successfully realised her own documentary projects, as well as she served as assistant director on feature animation films. She runs PR for Folimage Studio, where she collaborates with Jacques-Rémy Girerd. She worked as assistant director on his Mia and Migou, and currently developing his new film Aunt Hilda

Joana Toste

Joana Toste (Portugal) was born in 1970. She got her degree in industrial design, followed by a post-graduate degree in the same area at the Glasgow School of Art/Centro Português de Design. During this period she studied painting at Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes de Lisboa and in 1992 interrupted her studies during one year, to perform animation studies at Tobistoon. Since then, she has worked in animation, collaborating with several studios and developing her own projects. In 2004 she created her own production’s company called gomtch-gomtch. Simultaneously, she works in illustration, theatre set design, workshops for children and web design.
