Tal Kantor is an award-winning animation filmmaker and visual artist from Jerusalem. Graduated with honours from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, where she currently lectures. In her works, Tal often deals with the subject of memory and uses a unique technique she has developed, which combines drawing, photography, video, painting, and animation. Her short film In Other Words (2016) won 17 awards and was officially selected in more than 100 festivals worldwide. She was the animation director of the documentary film Advocate (Emmy Award winner & Oscar shortlist). Letter to a Pig (2022), which so far won 30 awards (including Anima Festival, Animafest Zagreb, Ottawa International Animation Festival, the Israeli Academy Awards, and more) is her debut film.
