Geoffroy de Crécy began his director’s career in the 2000s with a 3D animation clip for his musician brother Etienne de Crécy, who won a Victoire de la Musique. He then produced short films, TV series and music videos, thus exploring various animation techniques: stop motion, 3D animation, live action, mix-media. For the past ten years, Geoffroy has also been developing work on the border between illustration and animation, which has led him to create images, still or animated, for the press and advertising. This research about “animated illustration” led him to work on very simple series of loops that had a great success on the internet, especially on his Instagram account.
