Best of 11th VAFI

VAFI is an animation film festival presenting films made by children and youngsters under 18 years of age. It takes place in Varaždin since 2010, and in 2018 it added another strand - Rijeka edition - RAFI, a film festival of animated films for children and youth. The festival has become an important place on the map of world festivals for bringing together once a year little, and also big animators, professionals and experts, all in order to promote the creativity of children and youth. The diverse program offers screenings and workshops, accompanied by exhibitions, round tables, and meetings. Every year, it presents festival’s partnering country.

This year’s selection of films to be screened at Animafest Zagreb includes the winning titles The Story Is About a Shark and a Whale, City Sound, and Neve Tzedek, as well as the audience award winners, Croatian films First They Came… and Sleeper.
