Between 8 and 12 June 2015, as part of the Animafest Pro section at the upcoming 25th edition of World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb, a videogame workshop is taking place. The workshop is meant primarily to students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) and Academy of Fine Arts(ALU) of the University of Zagreb, and is organized by those institutions, in association with the Creative Europe Desk - MEDIA Office and Animafest Zagreb.

By connecting the programmer, animator and illustrator community in this part of the Animafest Pro section, we aim to stimulate creativity and competitiveness of young artists and computer experts and gives them a chance to meet the transmedia connection between animation and computing. The workshop participants will be divided into small teams of designers and programmers to develop their own video game and present it on the last day of the festival.

Last year’s workshop facilitators Aleksandra Čereković (FER) and Darko Masnec (ALU) are joined this year by Mario Von Rickenbach (University of Arts in Zurich). 

The workshop takes place at the FER, from 9am to 5pm.Workshop participation is free of charge and the number of participants is limited to 20. Student experienced in programming are eligible to apply, by filling in the APPLICATION FORM.
