Between 1991 and 2006, Anne Viel worked as a theatrical costume designer. She discovered animation at a workshop in 2001, and proceeded learning it on her own. Since 2007 she has been making films for museums as well as developing personal projects in the digital paper cut technique (using After Effects) that she has been teaching at the Supinfocom Valenciennes animation school since 2010.
