Synopsis


One wild and windy night, the Gruffalo’s Child ignores her father’s warnings and bravely tiptoes out into the snow in search of the Big Bad Mouse. She meets Snake, Owl and Fox but no sign of the fabled Mouse. He doesn’t really exist... or does he?

Johannes Weiland


Johannes Weiland is teaching animation classes at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Since his graduation in 2003 he’s worked as director and animator at Studio Soi Ludwigsburg, Germany and with Studio AKA in London. He has directed many films including The Little Boy and The Beast, with co-director Uwe Heidschötter, which won the prestigious Cartoon d’Or for best European animated film.

 

Uwe Heidschotter


Uwe Heidschötter is a freelance character designer and illustrator based in Berlin. His work can be seen in his self-published book Augenblick and is featured in Ashley Wood’s Swallow series. The Little Boy and The Beast (2010) was his directorial debut, this short animation picked up several awards, including the prestigious Cartoon d’Or.
