Born in Rome in 1959, he is the Artistic Director of two italian festivals: Romics, comics and animation festival of the Fair of Rome and I Castelli Animati, international animated film festival in Genzano. He wrote in 1994 Le anime disegnate (The Animated Souls), the most popular italian book about animation, now republished by Minimum Fax. He worked for theater, radio and television. He wrote many screenplays for animated tv series and for the feature "Johan Padan", directed by Giulio Cingoli from the teathrical piéce by Nobel Prize Dario Fo. The very popular italian singer Mina recorded Ninna pa', one of his songs.
